Babies in Mind

The Birth-3 Local Specialist Leaders team are very excited to introduce their new research project, Babies in Mind: Exploring Baby Room Practice in Bristol. They would love to hear from you about your thoughts and experiences on all aspects of working with babies.

As part of the project, they will be conducting:

  • A short survey of all baby rooms in Bristol
  • A tour of settings baby provision with the setting manager
  • A room-based discussion with the baby room leader (and any other interested staff)

These visits will be carried out by some of our Birth–3 Local Specialist Leaders; Rosie, Cassie and Rachel. One of whom will be in touch very soon to book in your visit.

Babies in Mind is an exploratory research project aimed at mapping, understanding, and celebrating baby room practice across early years settings in Bristol while also identifying challenges the sector faces.

By taking part in this exciting initiative, you’ll be helping to shape a joint vision for baby room practice in Bristol as well as informing future professional development opportunities.

At the heart of this work is a commitment to amplifying the voices of setting leaders and baby room educators, empowering them as champions of high-quality, baby-centred practice in Bristol and beyond.

The Birth-3 LSL team are looking forward to working with you and building the Babies in Mind community for Bristol. Please email Cassie if you have any questions about the project cassie@archfieldhousenursery.co.uk
